Emirates NBD Introduces Innovative Digital Wealth Solution

Emirates NBD Launches New Digital Wealth Offering
By Fintechnews Middle East | October 9, 2023

Emirates NBD has introduced a digital wealth platform that allows customers to trade securities and ETFs on global and local markets. The platform, available on the bank’s mobile App ENBD X, offers over 11,000 global equities and 150 regional equities for trading.

As part of its 60th-anniversary celebrations, Emirates NBD has launched an exclusive three-month digital wealth campaign for ENBD X users. During October, November, and December 2023, customers can invest, buy, and sell on ENBD X with zero commissions. All applicable charges will be refunded within seven working days, and custody fees will be waived off for the duration of the offer.

The new wealth platform provides an instant onboarding process for both existing investment account holders and new investors, involving just three easy steps. New investors will receive their account details instantly and can start trading securities and ETFs after adding funds to their account through the Express Top-Up facility.

Another feature of the platform is the Secure Sign facility, designed for customers with high trading volume. This tool allows customers to update and sign investment documents digitally, eliminating the need to visit a branch.

In addition to trading capabilities, the platform offers market updates, historical and intraday charts, technical analysis, access to independent analyst ratings, and fundamental data on market consensus. Customers can also use the Stock and ETF screener to explore investment opportunities based on various indicators.

Marwan Hadi, Group Head of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, stated that the launch of the digital wealth offering reflects the bank’s mobile-first strategy. He emphasized that nearly 95% of the bank’s digital banking customers use the mobile banking App, and ENBD X now serves as a one-stop platform for both everyday banking and wealth management needs.

Pedro Sousa Cardoso, Chief Digital Officer of Retail Banking and Wealth Management at Emirates NBD, added that the goal is to provide customers with a benchmark experience, offering a wide range of on-the-go digital banking services. With the launch of the digital wealth platform on the ENBD X App, customers have full control of their finances and wealth in one single platform.

Emirates NBD has recently rolled out ENBD X, an enhanced mobile banking App with lightning-fast performance, user-friendly journeys, top-level security, and a wide array of products and services.
