Volunteers from a UAE hospital offer assistance to the injured in Gaza

New Volunteers Head to Gaza from UAE amidst Ongoing Conflict

As the conflict between Israel and Gaza continues, UAE’s Sheikh Moahmed issued a humanitarian mission named Gallant Knight 3, to provide assistance to civilians in Gaza. In response, a group of 160 medical volunteers from the UAE, including nurses and doctors have joined forces with Egypt’s Cleopatra Hospital Group to offer emergency care to children affected by the war in Gaza.

Among the team of volunteers are Ilham Altarabeen, a nurse from Gaza who recently moved to Abu Dhabi, offering to help people in her home country. Although she is leaving the safety of the UAE, Altarabeen feels that her decision to volunteer is crucial in helping the people of Gaza during this crisis, even though she has not informed her parents about her choice to do so in order to avoid causing them undue worry.

Another dedicated volunteer, Mohammed Ghaben, shared his concerns as he prepares to leave Abu Dhabi to help his family and friends in his hometown.

The team of volunteers includes many other healthcare professionals, each expressing the importance of providing essential medical care to the people of Gaza during this critical time. The field hospital is established near the Rafah crossing, designated to provide urgently needed assistance to those affected by the ongoing conflict.

Simultaneously, the UAE is also constructing a hospital within Gaza, with an aim to accommodate 150 beds and provide various types of medical care for affected civilians. As the volunteers head to Gaza, their bravery and selfless actions serve as a glimmer of hope for the people in Gaza during their darkest hour.
