UAE: Man declared dead is revived after 45 minutes with 17 electric shocks – News

A miraculous event took place in Khorfakkan Hospital earlier this week when a man in his thirties was brought back to life after having suffered from a cardiac arrest. The patient had come into the hospital with complaints of an irregular heartbeat and then suffered a cardiac arrest while at the facility. Doctors sprang into action and began performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on the patient, administering 17 electrical shocks and 15 doses of heart-stimulating adrenaline. Following this, a clot-dissolving agent was also given to the patient along with cardiac resuscitation.

The patient was then transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and placed on a ventilator in preparation for his transfer to Fujairah Hospital for a coronary angiography procedure. An assessment performed by the cardiologist showed that the coronary artery showed no blockages or clots, indicating a 100% success rate in dissolving the clot. The patient was later transferred back to Khorfakkan Hospital to continue his treatment and showed significant improvement in cardiac function after a follow-up cardiac ultrasound.

After spending 8 days at Khorfakkan Hospital, 2 days in the Intensive Care Unit and 6 days in the Internal Medicine department, the patient was eventually discharged from the hospital in great health. He received instructions from the physician regarding prescribed medications and regular follow-up appointments at the cardiology clinic. This extraordinary recovery is nothing short of a miracle. The medical team confirmed that they were all very pleased with the outcome.
