UAE Leaders Extend Best Wishes for Diwali Celebrations
UAE leaders have sent their warm wishes to people around the world celebrating the festival of Diwali. President Sheikh Mohamed took to social media on Sunday to extend his greetings for the occasion.
“We extend our best wishes to all those celebrating Diwali, the festival of lights, both in the UAE and across the world,” he said on X (formerly known as Twitter). “May the year ahead bring peace, health, and happiness to all.”
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, also offered his greetings to those marking the Indian festival of lights.
“We congratulate everyone celebrating Diwali around the world,” he posted on X. “Wishing them a very prosperous and joyful festival.”
Diwali, known as the most important Indian festival of the year, is being celebrated by over a billion people worldwide. The festivities typically span five days and include gatherings, fireworks displays, feasts, and prayers.
Preparations for Diwali can be seen around the world, with events like the Diwali on the Square celebration in Trafalgar Square, London.
