MEA Enterprises Being Targeted by Tencent Cloud

Tencent Cloud, a leading cloud service provider, has announced its participation in GITEX GLOBAL 2023 in Dubai. This marks Tencent Cloud’s second appearance at the event as it aims to expand its presence in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) market.

During the event, Tencent Cloud will introduce its SuperApp-as-a-Service, along with the latest innovations in the Tencent Cloud AI and media solution family. These offerings are specifically designed for MEA enterprises, providing them with tailored solutions to meet their unique needs.

One of the key highlights is Tencent Cloud’s SuperApp-as-a-Service, which features the Tencent Cloud Mini Program Platform (TCMPP). This platform transforms web and mobile apps into lightweight mini-programs, accessible on any cloud infrastructure through container-based deployment. The SuperApp-as-a-Service provides a robust digital infrastructure that is crucial for enterprise and public service transformation.

In a significant development, Tencent Cloud recently partnered with TAMM, under the Department of Government Enablement of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. A signing ceremony was held on October 17, 2023, to celebrate this collaboration. Through this partnership, public services will be transformed into mini-programs and aggregated on TAMM using TCMPP capabilities. TAMM will be transformed into a Super App, offering over 700 essential public services from more than 30 government entities and the private sector on a single, standardized mini-program. These services include citizenship and work permit applications, business registration, healthcare facility access, tourism information, and more.

GITEX 2023 also showcased Tencent Cloud’s transformative technological solutions. One of these solutions is the Quick-training Digital Human, which empowers businesses to create customized digital avatars with minimal training. This solution caters to the growing demand for digital avatars across various fields, including customer service, sales and marketing, and virtual tour guiding. Additionally, Tencent Cloud’s e-know Your Customer (eKYC) solution optimizes identity authentication processes using AI technologies such as document recognition, liveness detection, and face verification.

Dan Hu, Vice President of Tencent Cloud International for the Middle East and Africa, expressed excitement about working with local partners to support their digital transformations. Hu emphasized that cloud technologies, including super app solutions, are crucial for enterprises and governments undertaking a digital transformation journey. Tencent Cloud has achieved strong growth in its international business, with double-digit revenue growth and a 66% revenue contribution from partner countries’ ecosystems in the first half of 2023. The Middle East has emerged as one of the fastest-growing regions, with many regional customers expressing interest in exploring potential SuperApp projects.

Tencent Cloud’s presence at GITEX GLOBAL 2023 showcases its commitment to driving digital transformation in the MEA market. With its advanced technological solutions and strategic partnerships, Tencent Cloud is well-positioned to support enterprises and governments in the region and globally.
