Abu Dhabi welcomes French Foreign Minister in a meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed

Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, welcomed the French Foreign Minister, Catherine Colonna, to Abu Dhabi on Monday. The meeting focused on the current developments in the Middle East and finding ways to provide urgent humanitarian and relief assistance to civilians in Gaza.

During the discussion, both ministers emphasized the importance of de-escalating the situation and protecting innocent civilians. They also highlighted the strong friendship and strategic partnership between the UAE and France, particularly in areas such as trade, investment, and climate change.

Furthermore, the meeting touched upon the joint efforts of the UAE and France in environmental conservation and climate change. This collaboration is especially significant as the UAE is hosting Cop28 this year at Expo City Dubai, where the ministers emphasized the need for a positive outcome.

The gathering was also graced by the presence of Reem Al Hashimy, the Minister of State for International Co-operation. The ministers expressed their commitment to addressing the various challenges faced by the world.
