Emirates NBD, in partnership with Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), has launched the ‘National Digital Talent Incubator’ program. This initiative aims to enhance the UAE’s talent pool and promote entrepreneurship in the fintech and digital innovation sector. The program will also receive support from industry leaders such as Visa, Microsoft, and Dell Technologies.
The National Digital Talent Incubator program will consist of two cohorts each year, comprising three to six fintech startups with UAE national founders and members. Throughout the eight-week program, participants will benefit from insights shared by experts from DIFC Launchpad, as well as gain hands-on experience from successful entrepreneurs in the UAE. The program also offers mentorship and one-to-one coaching sessions with the founders of top UAE fintech scale-ups. Participants will have access to innovator networks, incumbent corporations, governments, and capital within the UAE.
Abdulla Qassem, Group Chief Operating Officer of Emirates NBD, expressed enthusiasm about the program, stating, “The launch of this unique program reinforces Emirates NBD’s commitment to accelerate innovation, boost local talent, and foster entrepreneurial growth in the region. We believe that our new incubator program will contribute to economic development and innovation in the financial services industry and the UAE economy as a whole.”
Arif Amiri, CEO of DIFC Authority, highlighted the program’s significance in nurturing local talent and grooming future industry leaders. He emphasized DIFC’s position as a global hub for talent and a thriving ecosystem for fintech and innovation, which empowers UAE nationals to transform their ideas into successful startups.
