A new health care laboratory equipped with advanced smart systems opening in Dubai can detect diseases using AI (Artificial Intelligence). Premier Diagnostic Centre, located inside Reef Mall in Deira, was inaugurated by Awadh Seghayer Al Ketbi, director general of Dubai Health Authority (DHA). He highlighted the role played by the private healthcare sector in Dubai for their contribution to the strategic goals of DHA and their role in boosting Dubai’s distinction as a destination for health tourism. Premier Diagnostic Centre stated that AI is used in the healthcare sector for early disease detection which improves accuracy and speed of diagnosis and monitors a patient’s health by detecting any anomalies that may indicate a disease progression or recurrence. During the inauguration of the medical laboratory, Dr. Ketbi toured various departments and suites and was welcomed by Dr. Jamil Ahmed, the founder and managing director of Prime Healthcare Group, and medical staff. Dr. Ahmed took note of DHA’s support to the private sector and the unique investment climate in the healthcare sector in Dubai that encourages the expansion of medical facilities and specializations.
