Drawing a crowd of over 600 participants from more than 30 countries, CHERY’s first grand technological symposium saw the attendance of media representatives, government officials, university experts, and CHERY’s local and international stakeholders. For the past 26 years, since its inception, CHERY has consistently displayed its commitment to innovation through exhibitions on hybrid and electric vehicles, as well as overseas technologies.
During the event, Yin Tongyue, secretary of the party committee and chairman of CHERY Holding Group Co. The ‘2023 CHERY Tech Day’ unveiled the brand’s readiness to lead the future of the automotive industry with a new strategic framework. Simultaneously, as part of CHERY’s global strategy and dedication to philanthropy, the brand announced a significant partnership with UNICEF during its International User Summit.
Through a two-year, $6 million partnership, CHERY and UNICEF will collaborate to support global education programs, with a particular focus on aiding vulnerable children. This partnership comes in response to UNICEF’s findings that 70 percent of 10-year-olds worldwide struggle to read and comprehend basic sentences, a situation exacerbated by the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of this collaboration is to establish safe and inclusive learning environments for children and adolescents, ensuring equal learning opportunities and employability.
CHERY will contribute to education programs in China, Mexico, South Africa, and Turkey, aligning with UNICEF’s efforts to provide quality education to millions of children. As a brand with a presence in over 80 countries, CHERY regards social responsibility as an integral aspect of its global presence and is committed to humanitarian initiatives. Through its partnership with UNICEF, CHERY hopes to promote children’s education and facilitate social progress.
