The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) reported heavy downpours across the country, prompting warnings to stay away from flood-prone areas. The NCM also cautioned of possible rainfall in coastal, northern, and eastern areas until at least 8:30 pm, along with winds reaching speeds of up to 40kph. In response to the inclement weather, Abu Dhabi Police advised motorists to exercise caution and adhere to speed limits. The NCM further advised people to avoid flash flood-prone areas, use dipped-beam headlights during low-visibility periods, and avoid driving in heavy rain whenever possible. They emphasized the importance of relying on official weather sources and avoiding the spread of rumors. Footage of the heavy rain was captured and shared on Storm Centre, a social media account dedicated to tracking weather patterns. The videos showcased motorists braving heavy rain in Ajman, torrential downpours in Umm Al Quwain, and dark skies with showers in Khor Fakkan on the east coast of the UAE. In Dubai, authorities seized 24 vehicles and motorcycles in the Al Rowaiyah area due to reckless driving during adverse weather conditions. The NCM predicted the possibility of more rainfall in certain parts of the country on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
