Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, has officially opened the Al Wathba housing project in the emirate. This development covers an area of 875,000 square meters and offers 347 new homes for citizens, with a total cost exceeding Dh1.1 billion. The project also features 15 parks and four mosques with a combined capacity for 1,725 people, as well as designated plots for commercial and community amenities.
During the inauguration, Sheikh Khaled received a detailed briefing on the project and examined the sustainable design of the homes. He expressed confidence that the housing project would effectively meet the needs of Emiratis in Abu Dhabi, contributing to stability and growth in the region.
The initiative is aligned with the UAE’s commitment to providing suitable housing for its citizens. In support of this, Sheikh Khaled recently approved a housing support plan worth Dh2.74 billion for Emiratis residing in the capital. This assistance, benefiting 1,800 citizens, is being implemented under the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed.
Furthermore, low-income retirees and families of deceased mortgage holders will be exempt from housing loan repayments under the program. Additionally, eligible citizens will have access to housing loans as part of this initiative.
With a focus on sustainability and meeting the housing needs of Emiratis, the inauguration of the Al Wathba housing project underscores the UAE’s ongoing efforts to support its citizens and enhance their quality of life.
