UAE Showcases Military Strength at 9th Union Fortress Parade
President Sheikh Mohamed attended the Union Fortress military parade on Sunday, held on Abu Dhabi’s Yas Island. The event was organized by the Ministry of Defence and featured a display of the UAE’s advanced defensive capabilities.
According to state news agency Wam, the parade included various units and formations of the armed forces, highlighting their high state of readiness. The live demonstrations presented mock combat scenarios, demonstrating the abilities of the armed forces under challenging conditions.
Sheikh Mohamed praised the armed forces and security forces for their readiness, advanced skills, and sophisticated capabilities. He emphasized their role in protecting the UAE’s development journey and representing the nation’s resilience and honor.
The parade was attended by several prominent figures, including Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed, and Sheikh Tahnoon bin Mohammed. Minister of State for Defence Affairs Mohammed Al Bowardi and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lt Gen Issa Al Mazrouei were also present.
The Union Fortress parade, in its ninth year, showcased the UAE’s commitment to maintaining a strong and prepared military. It serves as a reminder of the nation’s dedication to security and defense.
