UAE relief convoy en route to Rafah crossing for Gaza aid delivery

UAE Sends Aid to Gaza Amid Ongoing Conflict with Israel

A convoy of lorries carrying aid from the UAE has departed from Al Arish in Egypt to make its way to the Rafah crossing into Gaza. These ten lorries are transporting 252 tonnes of supplies, including 16,800 food parcels which will benefit about 84,000 people in Gaza. Additionally, three other lorries are carrying tents into the strip.

President Sheikh Mohamed has ordered humanitarian support for Gaza under “Operation Gallant Knight 3,” and once the supplies reach Gaza, they will be distributed under Emirati supervision. This is part of the UAE’s ongoing effort to provide vital relief to Gaza during the conflict with Israel. To date, the UAE has sent 49 aircraft filled with essential supplies to aid the people in Gaza.

Furthermore, the UAE announced plans to build three desalination plants in Gaza, each with a production capacity of 200,000 gallons a day. This initiative aims to provide drinking water to 300,000 people in Gaza when all three plants are operational. The Joint Operations Command at the Ministry of Defence confirmed that the plants are being built in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

This ongoing effort by the UAE demonstrates its commitment to providing crucial support to the people of Gaza in the midst of the conflict with Israel.
